Throwdown in Motown schedule revealed

The basketball Gods are blessing fans of the high school game in the state of Michigan already, and the season is just two months away. According to the 1Nation's Twitter account, a travel basketball and exposure organization, some of the top players in the country will be coming to Detroit in December to play some basketball. And these are the elite of the elite.

Being put on by TheGrindSession.com, the event will be called The Throwdown in Motown, and will be held in downtown Detroit at Cass Tech High School December 28-29. And you better believe this will be a hot ticket with the teams and players that are supposed to participate in the event, including Detroit native, and No.1 player in the land, Josh Jackson, of Prolific Prep (Calif.), who will take on Huntington Prep (W.Va.) and Flint native Miles Bridges, who is committed to Michigan State. Day two has a dandy, when Prolific Prep and Jackson take on Athletes Institute (Can.) and 7-1 sensation, Thon Maker. Other marquee players playing in the the two-day event are Rawle Alkins of Word of God (N.C.), Michigan commit Xavier Simpson of Lima (Ohio), and junior standout Jarred Vanderbilt of Victory Prep (Texas). Get your popcorn ready. The event is still in its early stages but the two-day schedule is below.
