My Detroit Players: Top 31 football players in the city
The 2016 high school football season is just three days away, which means another "Top 31" is set to drop. The talent is spread all over the city this year, even if 13 of the players on this list hail from Cass Tech, who is the No.1 team in the entire state this season. Most rankings in the state have Cass' stud wide out Donovan Peoples-Jones as the top player in the city/state, but, we are not most rankings. Our top player this season is King's speedster Ambry Thomas.
The 6-0, 170 Thomas is a threat in all three phases of the game, and is arguably the top play-maker in the state with the ball in his hands. Thomas has over 40 scholarship offers to his name, from schools coast to coast, and is a hot commodity around the country, especially with the huge summer he has had.
