Miles Bridges returns home to Michigan in style

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - He plays his high school basketball in West Virginia now at premiere prep school, Huntington Prep, but Michigan will always be home to junior small forward, Miles Bridges. Flint, Michigan to be exact. Bridges left the Great Lakes State two years ago, but makes frequents returns to see his family, and to play AAU with The Family. His high school season ended two weeks ago, and he returned home again to play in the Grand Rapids Storm Classic.
"Before this, the last time I was in Michigan was spring break, which was March 21," said Bridges. "It's always good to come home and see my family, and the rest of my people. I love to see my people.

"I went home for a little bit, and the first thing I did was go to my house to see my mom."
Bridges' mother must have cooked him a really good meal, because he came out strong in his first game back in his home state. The Family's 17-Under squad took care of the Grand Rapids Storm 17-Under team, 73-52, led by Bridges' 29 points, six rebounds, and three blocks. Rivals.com ranks Bridges as the No.28 in the country in his class, and showed that and more, with seven dunks in the game, as well as showing some defense,
"I was just trying to get to the basket a lot out there," said Bridges. "I also was trying to work on moves that I haven't did before, so when I get to the EYBL I can be ready."
Bridges, who has an impressive offer list, which includes Michigan State, UConn, Indiana, and Kansas, among others, isn't quite ready yet to trim his list, and is still weighing all of his options.
"My recruitment has been going good," he said. "Michigan State has been on me the most. Michigan, Louisville, and Kentucky have been on me hard too, but I'm open to everybody right now."
Many believe Michigan State is the team to beat for Bridges, who wouldn't let the cat out the bag on what school leads for him, but the Spartans are certainly making it known that Bridges is wanted in East Lansing.
"State has just been telling me that I would really fit it there," said Bridges. "East Lansing is only 45 minutes away from my house, and they want me to be surrounded by people I know, like Caleb Swanigan,Deyonta Davis, and Cassius Winston, probably."
Swanigan and Davis were basically a package deal, having played on the same AAU team, before both committing to Michigan State in their class of 2015. Maybe Bridges just hinted to a possible package deal with him and Winston in 2016, then he can visit Flint whenever he wants.
