Detroit Frederick Douglass 70-Farmington 65

The Hurricanes trailed by 15 with just over six minutes to go, but made a furious rally down the stretch to come away with the win. Senior guard Kelly Broadus led all scorers with 30 points. Fellow seniors Jarnard Smith and Carlos Walker had 19 and 17, respectively. Jordan Graham paced Farmington with 24 point and 13 rebounds. Jay Kirby was 6-8 from three, finishing with 20 points. Tyrell Jackson-Davis added 14.

Detroit King 68- Jalen Rose Leadership Academy 41

King did not play around with JRLA, jumping out to a quick 12-3 lead in the first quarter, putting this game away early. King's starters did not play in the second quarter or the fourth. Top unsigned senior guard Jesse Scarber led his team with 19 points and four five assists. JaQuon Robinson came off the bench with 12. Anthony Ball was one of the lone bright spots for JRLA, with 18 points.

GIRLS: Detroit Renaissance 66-Southfield A&T 51

The first half was a tight one, but Renaissance was able to run away with the game in the second, led by a balanced offensive attack. Four players scored in double-figures, led by Nnenna Nnaji's 20 points. Dalyn Henderson followed with 15, Nina Reynolds had 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Victoria Wright chipped in 12. Cheyenne McEvans led the Warriors with 18 points. Alexis Johnson had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Michigan commit Deja Church shook off a slow start to finish with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Detroit Western 65-Detroit Cornerstone 55

An up and down battle saw Western pull it out in the end with great defense, and another productive effort from standout freshman Lorne Bowman. He led the Cowboys in scoring with 18 points. Rayvon Simpson added 16, and junior wing Tray Jackson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Rob Carpenter led the Wolves with 18 points. Western's defense had Marquette commit Jamal Cain to just 16 points, but he did grab 14 rebounds.

Detroit East English Village Prep 92-Wayne Memorial 77

This game was closer than final score would indicate, then EEVP exploded in the third quarter. At one point, Michigan commit David Dejulius scored 11 straight, to put EEVP up 20 after three quarters. He finished with a game-high 41 points. Backcourt mate Greg Elliott added 32 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks. Wayne Memorial junior guard Rashad Williams led the Zebras with 32 points.
