The Detroit Police Athletic League football championships at Ford Field is one of the biggest football events in the state of Michigan. Thousands of Detroiters show up to downtown Detroit to cheer on their favorite players on their favorite teams. The championships featured eight teams from three organizations, and the West Seven Rams were the only organization to have teams playing in all four games. We recap yesterday's three championship games.

A-Team Championship: Detroit Spartans 24-West Seven Rams 14

These two elite programs in the city have played for PAL's top level championship trophy for three consecutive years, and all three will go down as some of the best championship games ever. The Spartans organization have come out on the winning end of all three, winning the A-Team championship in every year of its short existence, and extending their win streak to 33 straight games.

B-Team Championship: Spartans 13-Rams 12

Just like the A-Team, the Spartans B-Team won its third consecutive league title, edging the Rams by one. They have also won 33 straight games, which is impressive at any level. Some of these players will remain on the team, others will move up a level, either way, unblemished records will continued to be protected next year in the Spartans organization.

C-Team Championship: Rams 39-Motor City Wolverines 0

This game was not as competitive as the others, as the Rams 10U team dominated from start to finish. They repeated as champions, and as dominating as the Spartans have been in the upper levels, the Rams have been just as great at this level, winning it five times out of the last six years.

D-Team Championship: Wolverines 25-Rams 0

The younger age group played its championship game at Renaissance High School on Saturday, leaving no doubt against the Rams.
