Country Day Rolls in D4

Detroit Country Day never thought winning a District Title could be so easy. The past two years have proven difficult for DCD to get though the Districts, but they've found a way. This season, they've had a running clock the entire second half of both of their games.
"We did some good things, but we've got a lot of work to do" said Coach Dan MacLean after the game. "Williamston and Marshall are very good teams, and we need to be prepared for them."

Sure, they need to be prepared for their next game, but there's no reason to ignore some terrific performances in Round 2. The game started off with DCD blocking a punt in the end zone that put them up 7-0. You could tell right then that Lamphere was about to implode.
Junior QB Josh Harris ran the Yellowjacket offense to perfection, hitting senior Joe MacLean for a TD pass and a 2-point converstion. He also connected with Trevor Potter for 6 points.
"We came out really strong, and did a lot of good things" said Joe MacLean after the game. "We made some mistakes and had penalties, but overall we did a nice job tonight."
Junior RB John Hill also stood out for Country Day. He ran the ball really well and got the crowd excited with a couple of long runs.
Lamphere really couldn't get anything going until the seond-string was in. That's when junior QB Ryan Horvath hit junior WR Mitchell Kozlowski with a long pass for a TD. That's about all Lamphere could muster offensively.
Country Day moves on to regional play against the winner of Williamston vs. Marshall.
