Buffalo the first offer for 2016 DB Tylen Redding

The offers to kids instate were plentiful on yesterday, especially to those receiving their first one. Warren (Mich.) Mott junior athlete, Tylen Redding, was one of those kids, finally receiving his first offer from Buffalo.
"It was very exciting and cool to have a full scholarship offer," Redding said on his offer from Buffalo. "I've just been waiting patiently on one, and Buffalo was the first to take a chance."

And what's getting your first offer, without a funny story to go with it.
"Funny thing about this offer is when I was on the phone with the coach, me and my dad were picking up my big brother, Teo, that goes to Bowling Green. And when he got in the car, he just started yelling 'Bowling Green, Bowling Green', and didn't know I was on the phone with Buffalo's coach until I told him. That was funny, and right after that, they offered me."
Buffalo loves to recruit in the Metro-Detroit area, and has landed a number of recruits since 2013. The 6-2, 160-pound Redding would be a steal for them, as a taller defensive back, who can also play on the either side of the ball. Redding said he had never even spoken to the staff at Buffalo, but they obviously knew a lot about him.
"The coach direct messaged me Friday night on Twitter, and said the staff loved my film," said Redding. "He asked me if I had any interest in Buffalo, and I said yes. He said to call him around 4:30-5:00 p.m., on Saturday.
"On the phone, he asked me to tell him about my family, grades, height, and weight, and asked me did I know any people at Buffalo. He said the whole staff loved my film, and I said I had one of the top highlight films. After that, he paused for a little, and said 'we would love to have you apart of our team, and we would like to offer you a full scholarship to the University of Buffalo'."
Redding has yet to visit Buffalo as well, but plans to do so at some point. The Buffalo staff will also be at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp again this summer, where both parties will be able to see each other in person.
Redding, who intercepted seven passes last season and also had 660 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns, also has interest from the other Mid-American Conference (MAC) schools, including Bowling Green, where is older brother goes, and plays for the football team. With Buffalo becoming the first to offer Buffalo, expect the offer MAC schools yo follow suit.
"Yes, I think my recruitment will kick off now that Buffalo has offered," Redding said. "I have heard a lot from Bowling Green, and I think they'll be next."
