2016 DB Tylen Redding joins brother at Bowling Green

Bowling Green picked up one legacy commit on yesterday, when former safety, Aaron Foster, influenced his little brother, Evan Foster, of West Bloomfield (Mich.) to commit to the Falcons. They picked up another one today, in Warren (Mich.) Mott senior defensive back, Tylen Redding, the younger brother of sophomore wide receiver, Teo Redding.

And just like Evan Foster stated that his older brother's time at Bowling Green was a big factor in his decision, it was a deciding factor in Tylen Redding's as well.
"It was very big," Redding said on his older brother currently playing for Bowling Green. "He taught me a lot, and I learned a lot from him by doing 1-on-1s versus him, and I had the opportunity to play with him in high school my freshman year, but I decided to go to Mott. I just thought through the process, and I couldn't pass up playing with him in college.
"He said he already knew I was coming, and said welcome to the family."
The 6-2, 170-pounder had long been a lean to Bowling Green ever since he received the offer from them in back in April, but obviously wanted to weigh-out all of his options before making such an important decision. Redding felt that now was the right time to make it official.
"Well, it was always 75%, until last night," Redding said on knowing that he wanted to attend Bowling Green. "I was for sure then, and ready, I didn't want to wait any longer. They showed me the most love, and the coaching staff fit me the best throughout the recruiting process. I just felt like it was home there, and I had to reunite with my big bro.
"I like the coaches, the players, and I love the environment there."
Redding, who Rivals.com ranks as a two-star recruit, turned down offers from schools like Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Miami (Ohio), Buffalo, Temple, and Ball State to join Bowling Green's 2016 recruiting class. And of course, the coaching staff at Bowling Green were more than happy to welcome in there.
"I told the defensive backs coach, Coach Monroe, first," said Redding. "His first reaction was 'Are you ready to be a Falcon?', and he was very excited to let the rest of the staff know."
Redding is a tall, and long cornerback, who will need to put on weight, but is a good athlete playing that position at his size. He picked off seven passes as a junior, and caught eight touchdown passes as a junior in 2014.
