Michigan offers sophomore OT JaRaymond Hall

It's only his third offer of the process, but it's a big one for Oak Park (Mich.) 2017 offensive tackle, Ja'Raymond Hall, when the University of Michigan came calling for him today. Miami (Ohio), and Bowling Green are Hall's other offers, but the offer from the Wolverines is one he didn't expect to come this early.
"I couldn't believe it," Hall said. "I think that getting an offer from them is real big. Michigan is a very great school."

Oak Park head coach, Greg Carter, was the one who delivered the news to Hall, who received the offer from Michigan running backs coach, Tyrone Wheatley.
"My head coach called me and told me he had some very good news for me," Hall said. "He gave me Coach Wheatley's number, and then Coach Wheatley told me they were offering me. I was excited to hear the news."
The early offer to Hall, who projects to be a national prospect at some point down the line, could mean that Michigan will be in a good point spot with Hall once he plans to commit, while other schools are playing catch up. The Wolverines have begun to turn around that notion that they can't land the top recruits in the state, receiving a huge commitment from Southfield (Mich.) 2016 running back, Matt Falcon. Hall also recognizes what Jim Harbaugh and his staff are doing with the progam, and where they can take it.
"I think that Michigan is a really good program under Coach Harbaugh," said Hall. "It looks like the program is going to be back as a championship contender."
It's very early in the process for Hall, but expect Michigan to have a legit shot at landing the 6-5, 260-pounder as his recruitment goes along.
"Michigan will be in consideration," Hall said. "I visited there for the spring game, and I plan on visiting again pretty soon."
