Farmington 2016 LB David Reese still solid to Michigan

Farmington (Mich.) senior linebacker and Michigan commit, David Reese, was offered by Texas last night, but Wolverine fans do not have anything to worry about. Being offered by a program like Texas, even despite their current circumstances, is quite the honor, but Reese is staying put.

"I'm honored to receiver an offer from a university like Texas, but I'm still committed to Michigan," Reese said. "I was really excited to get that call, knowing the tradition behind Texas football, and the direction they're headed in. I know something special is ready to take place in a state that's used to winning."
Something special is also taking place with Reese's future team, Michigan. The Wolverines are 5-1, and ranked No.12 in the country. Somewhere they haven't been in a very long time. Michigan faces hate rival Michigan State on Saturday, and of course Reese will be in attendance to cheer his team on.
"Michigan is off to a terrific start," said Reese. "The defense has been the most impressive to me, with the three straight shutouts, and Michigan has turned into one of the best defenses in the country. I can't wait to attend the game this weekend against MSU."
Reese said he talks to Michigan coaches weekly, and has been to every home game so far this season. He predicts the Wolverines will beat the Spartans 28-14 on Saturday. What a sweet day it would be for the Michigan faithful if that were to happen.
As for Reese's season, Farmington is 4-3 on the year, and Reese is trying to end his high school career on a good note. The Falcons are on the verge of making the state playoffs again. They face Birmingham (Mich.) Seaholm on Friday night.
"My season is going great," he said. "We lost a couple of close games, but we still have the chance to control our own destiny and make the state playoffs by getting those six wins."
