2018 LB Ovie Oghoufo 'elated' about Spartans offer

Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison 2018 linebacker Ovie Oghoufo is still coming into his own at the linebacker position, coming over from playing wide receiver. The 6-3, 195-pounder is still a raw prospect, but the potential is there, hence his multiple Mid-American Conference offers.

But Oghoufo may see his recruitment take a huge jump now that the Michigan State Spartans have offered him. The offer is his biggest offer to date, and a huge one for the instate linebacker, and he knows it.

"I heard about the offer over the phone when I talked to Coach Dantonio and Coach Salem," he said. "They both liked the way I performed at Sound Mind Sound Body."

"I am very elated about this, and this over is huge. I love it."

Oghoufo grew up a Spartans fan, and to receive an offer from the program he grew up watch does wonders for his recruitment. Morgan State, Syracuse, Toledo, Ball State, and Iowa State are some of his other offers, but the one from MSU might outdo them all.

"They are definitely at the top right now," Oghoufo said of Michigan State. "I have not planned to go up there yet to visit, but I will be up there soon."
