Sacco back from BC
While there are still several pieces to the puzzle missing for Boston College in the Class of 2009, the Eagles aren't letting other schools get a jump on them with current high school juniors. Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep offensive guard Brandon Sacco is one of several prospects from the Class of 2010 that were in town over the weekend.
Sacco, a 6-foot-3, 242-pound lineman from one of the most talent-rich schools in the region, enjoyed his trip to Boston College. It was the last trip he will be taking for a while, but he already has a pretty good idea of where things stand.
"Boston College was really nice. The campus was great," Sacco said. "They have to have some of the nicest facilities I've ever seen. The school is just great, too.
"I talked to my recruiter, coach (Bill) McGovern, a little before the game. I had to leave at halftime, though, so I didn't get to talk to anyone afterward.
"The campus itself had to be nicer than the other schools I've been to. It's definitely more prestigious, being a really good Catholic school in the Boston area."
Sacco is comparing Boston College to Rutgers, a school he took an unofficial visit to earlier this year, and Maryland, where he camped over the summer.
"I don't think I'm going to be able to take any other visits any time soon. There are a couple of junior days in the spring I'll be going to, but I'm not sure where yet. I just haven't planned anything."
Don Bosco is 10-1 on the year with one game remaining. Sacco said it was too early to start thinking about favorites.
