Madison Heights- One of the favorites in Division 5, the Madison Eagles, showed why they finished the regular season undefeated. Going up against a scrappy Detroit University Prep team, Madison's size and skill took over halfway through the 1st Quarter.

Madison opened the scoring on a big 4th & 3 conversion from the University Prep 6-yard line at the 5:48 mark in the 1st. Madison Junior Quarterback Tony Lowry hit Tight End Josh Matiyow over the middle to put the Eagles up 7-0.

Sophomore Danny Larkins set up the next Madison score with a 37-yard punt return to the Prep 8-yard line. The Eagles would again score on 4th Down as FB Casual Williams dived in the end zone from 1 yard out. The 2-point conversion attempt failed giving Madison a 13-0 lead.

After the Eagles defense forced another Panthers 3-and-Out, Larkins would give Madison great field position again. The Eagles would start their drive at the Prep 20 and would take two runs from RB Bakari Allen to punch it in to make it 19-0.

After a fight that resulted in each team having a player ejected, Madison MLB Percy Johnson intercepted a Ronald Riggs pass. On the ensuing drive, Johnson would finish what he started with a 54-yard touchdown run with 0:38 seconds remaining in the 1st Half. Johnsons' first of three touchdowns on the night effectively killed any hopes for a Panther comeback. Madison would take a 25-0 lead into the half.

The Eagles would go to win the game 47-0. Madison (10-0) will play next week against either Harper Woods Chandler Park Academy or Capac.
