Davis ready for busy camp schedule
June is typically a busy month for college football prospects all across the country. With coaching staffs everywhere holding their camps, it is a good time for a recruit to get noticed and possibly pick up some scholarship offers along the way. Few prospects will be as busy this summer as Michigan lineman Garret Davis, who plans to attend more than a dozen camps over the next few weeks.
Among his scheduled stops will be Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Baylor, Akron, and Central Michigan, among others. He has also already been to Indiana and Eastern Michigan and took part in the Nike Camp in Illinois this past weekend as well.
Davis, who just turned 17 this week, said opinions vary as to whether he will play offensive or defensive line in college. Still waiting for his first scholarship offer, he hopes to make his college decision by August if possible.
